As any Doblo owner will know the safety catch on the sliding door siezes up now and again and will need a clean and a bit of oil to help it function properly. However after doin so today I have found that i cant open door from inside or outside. Seems that the problem is with the catch on the lock at back end of the sliding door. No idea how this happened just coincedence probably Would like to know if anyone has had similar problems the locking system.

Dont know if this will help but i could not open rear pasenger side door it would only open a wee bit before it locked on rear catch i found a broken plastic bracket on the cable from the diesel flap to the door lock , if this is your problem you can get a screwdriver and push the plunger in from the outside to get the door open , Stuart

I had the exaclty same problem with my doblo. It's from the petrol tank door[safety lock]. Use a screw-driver to un-mount the tank-door mechanism and there u'll find a cable with a plastic holder with two little ears. One or both of that ears are certainly broken. U can use adhesive tape, and tape firmly the cable to the little tank-door hinge, in the original position[100% u'll find out how it must sits together]. Sorry 4 my english. Hope u understand me. Good luck !!!!
