Has anybody done it?
I am just about to look into doing it and wanted to know if its as fun as it should be.
I have done a Bungy jump and really enjoyed that so it would be good if somebody could make a comparison. I.e a Bungy is a lot cheaper so is the cost hike worth it?

I did a tandom skydive several years ago, absolutely awesome, I've not found anything that comes close for adrenaline, that split second rush you get when a car understeers on a wet roundabout - but make it last for 60 seconds of free fall, :slayer:

It's terifying to know your about to fall out of a plane then you get the adrenaline rush, then when the chute opens it's complete serenity for a few minutes until you land. Then sheer exilleration and a grin from ear to ear!

If I could afford it I'd do it again with no second thoughts.

Can do it Tandem for less than $200
Somebody on another site linked me to somewhere over Kenedy Space Centre as well which would be an immense view after the shoot comes oot.

Had a science teacher once who did it on a regular basis...but he was the most boring man I've ever met (aside from the throwing himself out of planes thing lol)

Would love to do one :p

I've done a tandem jump, my friend wanted to go skydiving for his birthday and I was the only one with the nerves/cash.

I don't mean to undersell it because it is a HUGE adrenalin rush, but I wasn't even really excited until we got home and it hit that I'd just jumped out of a plane. I'm not sure what was going through my head because I was calm as anything in the plane on the way up.

To be honest bungee was a bigger thrill, the sense of free falling is way more fun than skydiving. It doesn't feel like a free fall, more like floating on something mildly painful as the wind that whips you can pack a bit of punch.

It is worth it though, you should do a tandem jump at the least just so you can say you've done it.

Thats exactly what i would have thought. I would struggle to get a concept of speed from being so high up.
Its like the Grand Canyon, everybody is like woah its really high. Im like soooooo its a river that looks really small.

Interesting but good comparison.

Personally the best bit of an adrenalin rush is the split second of what I think is probably fear before the rush kicks in, which is why I liked the free fall in bungee better than sky diving. Just the same I like high drop rides at theme parks, roller coasters are boring in comparison.
