Hi Guys, could anybody tell me if the sump guard/skid plate is the same on petrol/diesel from 15 onwards on the 4x4 cross.thanks in advance.

I have a hunch that the plate is different for the twinair or diesel engines.... but may be wrong, and it might be owing to different production dates?

Here are two photos from other posts on this forum about the sump guard (and rust)... they are slightly different shapes – although the difference is subtle:

From a TwinAir (petrol) 4x4 - https://www.fiatforum.com/attachments/img_0410-jpg.177981/

and from a diesel version (mine, after I cleaned and repainted it :) ) - https://www.fiatforum.com/attachments/img_4492-1-jpeg.217050/

Towards the front edge, to the right (as seen in these photos) of the centre line there are differently-shaped depressions, to fit around different arrangements of turbo plumbing I think. I can't quite make out, but to may be there is a slight difference around the front, outermost bolt holes of the side plates with a X pressed into them)

Damn! This thread has reminded me that I was going to take mine off and clean it up before winter sets in.

Don't feel like crawling under the car in this weather, so I guess it will have to wait (like all those other jobs...)
