Simon,
Has your cutting out problem been sorted by the garage yet? My problem is back again this morning, after a more pleasent day meant my car worked perfectly (yesterday). This morning it inveriably cut out, other times it dropped to around 500 revs just about to cut out but picked itself up again to tick over (only just) at 600 revs????? What the chuff is it????? I'm tempted to get my simple but slow 1989 Golf back out the garage and on the road!!!!!!!!

Not got it back from the garage yet. Apparently all the mechanics were spontaneously ill yesterday, and those who weren't had a days holiday. I get it this evening. Will let you know.
