Thar is good work, although i personally dont like the look of them being too short, i think you got yours just right.

well i pulled mine off by mistake just when you have time just lean over it and wiggle and tug at it and it will soon enouogh come of. *i think* if not treat u self to a new one with a new gaiter, looks good afterwards. i only did mine as the gaiter would not fit the whole thing and would not go into first gear so i cut it lower so that it did i with ease. it doesnt look short, as i have zoomed in to show you the knob and gaiter but it is compared to the coins next to it. i am really impressed. took me 45mins to cut through the gear stick though. so if your thinking of this use a machine not by manual!!!!!

ahhh i see. well do wat i did and go to the breakers and rip another one of and see what you could do. i did mine by mistake as i said so i didnt really want to until it happened. it looks nice as it is, why would you want it shorter. i mean the 60s's is so big so it should be cut i think, but yours is an alright size. how much would you like to go down to,

beau that looks really nice (y) I think its the centre consall being there that makes it tho, doesnt look quite the same without it.

well i do wana go down an inch of so, but i can see it being a hastle, and my gearchange aint the best in the sporting tbh, so i can see me having trouble getting it in gear if its shorter, so probably leave it! and i sold the centre console quite a while ago now! im selling speaker pods for a 3 door though.

how much do speaker pods fetch on there own.

and how much when fitted to a MINTY set of late 1999 sporting door cards. as I have a set now;) :D (but mines a 5dr).

and how much do they fetch?

as for gearknobs, if you were to fit a centre console it has teh effect of making the gearlever shorter by about 2"
