Short term cover ASAP

right guys, my insurance lapsed on the 18th March and the car has been off the road since due to a back injury. now that i can drive again i obviously need to insure it, HOWEVER, i dont know how long im going to be in the country therefore i need short term cover of 1 month.

I've tried dayinsure and other websites which have exactly the same site layout (including Norwich Union) and they all obviously have come up with the same price.

£200!

there is no way in hell im paying that since my annual insurance is £550, so do you guys know of any other compaines, or of any other solution to this problem?

I use them for my short term cover, but never had to insure something for a month. Would it not be cheaper to take out an annual policy and then cancel after a month? Admin charge is around £25 and a months cover maybe £30 depending on your status? Something to consider...

But obviously, don't tell them you are cancelling after a month!! lol!
