Right,

The time has come to change the front shocks, MOT fail on right front; leaking too much oil.

So, what to fit.

Apex kit is on there now, 7 years old, or so.

And the drivers side of the car is about 15mm lower than the passenger side!! Why? Can these springs sag that much on one side?

Do any of you, or anyone you know, have experience of KYB Ultra SR or Bilstein B6 on this car, or any other car? Both are high gas pressure mono tubes shocks, vs. twin tube generic makes such as Apex with low or no gas pressure.

Currently it looks like KYB are £100 for two and Bilstein £210 for two.

I'll need new springs I guess? Any recommendations please?

A problem is lack of data on the spring rate to match the valving of these shocks. They are a bit firmer valved so may need slightly firmer springs?

Thanks. :)

I found out that the Bilstein B6 front shocks are all discontinued for the Cinq / Sei so that nullifies that question.

What about the KYB though? Vs. Koni STR.T? Vs. Apex? Vs. FK?
