My babe just failed its MOT as one of the rear shocks is pumping fluid.

Anyone any idea of how much it will be to replace and do I need to replace both or just the one?

Thanks in advance

Wimmy

You gotta do them in pairs otherwise the car becomes a hell beast to drive.

The rears are actually really easy to do yourself. Just follow the haynes manual.

Re: Re: Shock Absorbers

Hmmm. I do own a manual but performing jobs is another thing! lol. I always end up having probs! Think I'll play safe and take it to a garage to do.

I have had quotes of £60 (too cheap), £80, £100 and £145 (Fiat) for this job. Luckily for me the MOT tester didn't fail it, he should have done though!

I have just put my car through a service and they said taht my shock absorbers are corroded. It has been lowered and the guy before only put new springs in. Which type of shock absorbers should i go for. It is a 1.4

Had it replaced today (just the one due to limited funds). £63.92 from Fiat. Very reasonable!
