shiny wheels

hi i have these alloys and they always get really dirty and the only way to get them shining agen is with polish but it never lasts long. it seems like the dirt slightly corrodes the metal. is there something i can put on the metal to prevent this?

i have been using autosol metal polish

that is a very good metal sealant and will protect them no problem

i normally use an old t-shirt then go over them again with a microfibre cloth.

ok no problem, there is also britemax metal cleaner & sealant which ive heard is good but havnt used it myself.

What I do is i wax my wheels with either Autoglym HD wax which is amazing but very expensive, but on my previous car i just used turtlewax. What i did before this was use some autoglym alloy wheel seal then put on the wax. Although i have found that this attracts the dirt and it seems to stick more, it will just hose straight off, so i do this after every long journey and it all comes straight off, if it does not, when you wash the car just use a sponge or something after to wipe it off.

polish just takes the top coat off (tiny tiny bit) leaving it shiny, if you don't then apply a suitable wax it quickly corrodes.
