Hi all, first post! I just bought a great Stilo from Fleabay, it's my first Fiat and I'm pleasantly surprised by the build quality and trim level. It's got a few bugs I'll need some tips with, but I'm hoping to keep this car for a few years :)

Regards from Worcester!

Welcome buddy, i am trying to buy one but having all sorts of dilemmas lol, the 2 i have seen have been buckets just hoping i can pick one up soon been looking for over a month, put some pics up, they are really well built cars and for the money you cannot go wrong

Hello and welcome!

I just picked mine up Saturday. its my first Fiat, and my first "modern" car.

I am also really pleased with the quality. I think so long as you arent expecting a brand new car, and have experience of older cars, little niggles and squeeks arent an issue. Mine doesnt have too many, but like you, a few bugs to iron out and hopefully will last me the years I am hoping it will!

Hi I'm Derek from the Midlands, I've had my Stilo 1.6 Active for three weeks now, Paid £650 12 MOT 6 Months Tax 90000 miles (52 Plate). Just had its Cambelt and Waterpump done in March, Guy wanted £900, Its my first car, I love Italian Cars must be my Grandads Blood running through me (Italian) I have Problem with the airbag which is a standard thing with Stilos, Replaced the Radio with a CD Radio from a Fellow Member on here.

I know I will have bills to pay in the next 12 months but that it the norm with all Used Cars. Anyone in the midlands who can do the work if I get the parts in the future??

Thanks all!
It's a 2003 Dynamic with the sky roof, JTD 115hp lump, the earlier Connect Satnav (amber screen and, I guess, it only likes 2G SIM cards!) and less than 39k on the clock. It set me back just short of £2k. The quality is lovely and people are impressed with the awesome roof! It just got me to Cornwall and back (420miles round trip) over the weekend. What a lovely run! Quiet, refined...I'm very impressed.
The only worries I have are the famous borked brake light switch, and 1st and 2nd gear are super tough when the gearbox is cold. I'm a bit nervous about the gearbox, but I'll try a gear oil change and some Molyslip to see if it helps. Anyone tried Molyslip for that problem?

The sound system on that Connect unit...bloody hell...where did they hide the subwoofer? It sounds EPIC! Best in-car audio system I ever heard!

Speaking of cambelts, what's the belt change interval on the JTD? Mine's done such low mileage it's never been changed!

Get it done asap.

2003 car with no cambelt change. Uh Oh.

You shouldnt be having a issue with the gearbox but then again if the mileage is correct it might just be stiff due to non use. Lube the linkage as well.
