Hi!
I came across this forum while researching Cruise Control installation for my Stilo. I made it work, but there were some missing pieces of information and I would like to write a guide here as a thanks (or at least expand the OG guide by Rich, but it's locked for discussion)

I saw that I need to make at least 5 posts to be able to make a guide, but I don't want to spam here just to do that as I don't have much more to say right now.

Rich, if you still are on this forum - thank you, as you made my little dream come true!

Saying hi is not spamming and its a way to your first five posts. Welcome to the Fiat forum, I always think of Poland as the spiritual home of the Panda. The 169 built in Poland was much b etter made than teh Italian ones that followed. I reckon the Polish engineers tore up the specifications and just made the ca rout of proper quality parts. Well done !!

Im sure we would welcome a guide on cruise as it all helps the knowledgebase. I am still toying with fitting cruise to my car. Its a useful thing. Im just worried that Im getting old and senile and might forget to switch it off. This thought rather proves my own point as switching off is not needed. LOL

I didn’t know that the quality of the car can vary based on where it was manufactured. You would think that they use same parts everywhere.
I see that Pandas don’t have cruise control at all and you can only install 3rd party. Is that true?

I reckon Polands engineeers are top. A few years ago under soviet domination they were repressed. As soon as opportunity presented the inherant skills and expertise burst out. It seems that a lot of top quality components are produced by Poland and I look for anything from your country. My Italian cars have some plastic trim that is so poor you can see through it as if it were sunglasses. My Panda 100HP built in Tichy? was beautifully made, really well put together and no part seemed poorly made. It really showed. So you be it makes a difference. I think the thing I find most disappointing about our leaving the EU is that its more difficult to see and find things from Poland, particularly on eBAy, for sale here. This is our loss.
