Technical Shim clearances for mk1 55/1.1...

I can't find the clearances in the haynes manual. all it says is
Cam follower to shim sizes........ 3.20 to 4.70 in increments of 0.05

that is all about shim sizes in the whole manual!
anyone that does know shout em out

they can be + or - 0.05mm with no problem

thank you, i saw them a very long time ago but now i could just not find it. why don't they put another copy of those specs in the engine overhaul section....
is a fiat dealer a good source for new shims? shouldn't be more than a few quid each right??

about a fiver each, an auto engineers with have a shim grinder and can make the ones you have smaller. place i use charge a couple of quid for the biscuit fund

Thanks, the shims got mixed up at one point so some of em might be ok

clearances are...
1 OUT 0.506 ok
2 IN 0 !
3 OUT 0.635+
4 IN 0.406 ok
5 IN 0.406 ok
6 OUT 0.635+
7 IN 0!
8 OUT 0.508 ok

so 4 are ok and 4 are real bad lol. i'm gonna try swapping them around see if it helps if not might need to get 2 or 4 shims ordered...
