Firstly, may I apologise for the fact that you have not received a timely response. We would like to take this opportunity to assure you that Shell takes its responsibility to its customers very seriously and strives to deliver customers with a consistent experience and high quality products.
Unfortunately, due to the closure of the Coryton refinery, we cannot currently supply Shell FuelSave products to a number of Shell service stations including: Shell Ipswich Road, Shell Plumstead Road, Shell Sweetbriar, Shell Cringleford and Stratton Motor Co (Norfolk) Ltd. This is because we are receiving supplies from a location which does not currently have the infrastructure for our special additives which bring Shell FuelSave its fuel economy benefits. For these reasons, the available fuel grades on the affected sites are Shell Regular Diesel and Shell Regular Petrol as well as our premium fuels, Shell V-Power Diesel and Shell V-Power Petrol.
Furthermore, please be assured that we are charging customers correctly for the type of fuel they have purchased. When we launched Shell FuelSave as an enhanced product, it was at no extra cost to the customer compared to our Regular standard fuels. The prices are correctly displayed at these service stations.
In addition, we have been working hard to resolve the supply issues of Shell FuelSave fuels as quickly as possible, by installing new additive equipment at an alternative supply location, but this engineering work will take some time to complete.
