500 Sheffield Newbie

Hello everyone, I'm Wayne from sunny Sheffield.
Big changes afoot having driven a Volvo S80 T6 for the last 6yr.

Ordered a Twinair and carn't wait till Sept.
Love the 500 and after a Holiday in Southern Italy driving one around, knew i just had to have one.

Being a devout Volvo Nut it's a big change, but one im looking forward too. I still have a 480 ES that is being restored, so will still get my fix. But after 27 years of driving second hand cars its time for the change.

I have been a member / moderator on a few forums, and look forward to getting to know the folks on here.

Welcome on board. Your title suggests you are an Owl so I am not sure I should be talking to you!

We have a 1.4 sport and I really enjoy it. The Sheffield roads can be a bit bumpy for the 500 but all in all a great car. Let us know when it arrives.

Didn't realise 480s were now at the point people were restoring them. Is the ES a turbo by any chance?

Regards the 480 its the 2litre ES, ive had a few of them this one has been of road for over 6 years hence the restoration.

Looks like there is a delay with my 500TA
Phone call today to say not due in this country untill 24th of Sept then another week before ready at the dealership.

Not to worry at least the T6 is on LPG and not due for T&T untill end of Oct.

Im sure it will be worth the wait.
