Hello all, newbie here :)

I have a 08 Bravo (y)

First - I'm unsure what model it is, there is a Fiat warrenty document that says its a Dynamic, but was advertised as a Active. Reg is the same on all paperwork.

Second - Can the stereo and climate control units be changed to different ones? like to the digital screens found in other models? If not, then is there a way to fix faulty illumination?

Third - My radio is not picking anything up, just static, can the antenna be replaced and how? How do you use the AUX feature?

Fourth - I do not have a user manual, can I download one?

Five - I can't adjust the clock or set it, can someone tell me how :)

Six - When I clean the front windscreen and then check the engine, I notice water all over the fuse box and battery, is this nornal?

Seven - No water coming out for the rear windscreen, where is the bottle and how to access it? I looked and can't locate it in the boot :s

That's it for now, sorry for the headache

Hi I have a tjet active and to adjust the clock I use the mode button between the up and down for the lights next to stereo ,water bottle for rear is same bottle as front and I replaced my Ariel last week with a little bee sting one from eBay £3.50

If you mean the knobs for heaters not lighting up ,mine don't either think there made that way and the digital climate control is on the dynamic models I think so yours must be an active

This may sound silly but instead of pulling the stalk to wash front Windows you push it away to wash back one ,and for aux to work u need to buy a cable (20) online and u need keys to remove stereo as it plugs in back (6 eBay) real easy to do hope all these help ,good luck

if the warranty says dynamic then it's a dynamic (type your reg into comparethemarket.com and it will say ;).

faulty illumination can be fixed, just the bulbs blown (check the fuse first) https://www.fiatforum.com/bravo-guides/308785-replacing-failed-bulbs-heater-control-panel.html

don't know about the signal lol, (check connections? check not an after market ariel?)

https://www.fiatforum.com/bravo/171718-bravo-manual-pdf.html

in the mode menu for the time.

check that the hoses that feed the washer jets are connected, maybe leaking from there, a garage can blow compressed air down the tube to unblock the rear washer.

hope it helps (y)

Thanks aross95 (y)

I don't have a manual so I've been trying to figure things out

I think I tried the mode button thing but didn't work. I basically pressed down the Menu button to pull up extra options. The Clock comes up and flahses (only the centre : bit), I pressed the numbers and nothing, I think I tried the fog buttons but nothing, I'll try again

Could you post up that link for the one you purchased, and how to install it, as I'm new to this car :)

The climate control knobs do light up in mine, it's just not complete; one side it bright and the other is faded or stopped. All the white plastic pieces should light up, if your's doesn't then maybe they need replacing?

Mines may be an Active, but do not know why Fiat would say it's a Dynamic? (n)

I realised that pushing the stalk would sprey the rear window, as shown on the stalk itself, but no water comes out. The rear wiper moves several times, waits a few seconds and does one more wipe before stopping all together. I filled the water bottle in the engine bay to the top but still no water, how to I check a blockage?

Can I get these keys from a local store? like halfords, I think my sister got some for her Alfa that way.

Thanks again

Hi I might check my lights then ,the stereo removal keys I got from eBay and here's a pic of cable Ul need

There's only one place it can go so u can't go wrong my cable was a long one 2m I think it runs through back of stereo on down back of glove box ,if ur back wiper is going but no water then there's a problem with the pipe somwhere

comparethemarket.com - 2008 Fiat Bravo Active (90), 1368CC Petrol, 5DR, Manual

Fiat warrenty paperwork must be wrong :D

I'll check the links out, great job

no worrys (y) make sure you get your warranty changed though because it would be a good excuse for them to get out of honoring it.

the forums helped me out loads :worship:

Is there a part that can be fitted like USB? or 3.5mm Headphone socket, like you would find on a car stereo head. The cable you have must have a 3.5mm connector you put into your device? I would like to have a USB or Headphone socket to plug into, if you can see what I see ;)

Thanks

engine bay, right front as you look into engine with hood up

Quality (y)

I believe that's the bottle I filld up, I don't recall seeing where the lines came out. Could this be an issue with the pump? or is the water I'm seeing over the fuse box due to a loose pipe?

Nice one

I would if it was in date :D it ended in 2013. I did get a two year warrenty for £299 but I'm getting it refunded tomorrow as I don't think I'll need it, due to 90% of the car will suffer from wear & tear, which is not covered :bang:

Unless you've used a warrenty company before?

Thanks

I have no idea about other connections I'm afraid the one I have ,as u say the end end is a 3.5 ml headphone jack I plug into my phone for music which is all I really need so as far as others go I don't know

tried using mine today, didn't manage to pull it off, just wanted a free turbo lol, if the front washers are working then the pumps fine by the way, really common on all cars to get the rear blocked, just needs some air blowing through :) if you don't have blue&me (or even if you do) maybe get a new stereo, the standard 1's aren't the best :)

Have you removed yours? The Bravo is massive in comparison to the one I fitted in my old Mazda

Which pipe is it and will it drain the bottle if I pull it out?

Thanks
