Hi I have a 2009 Dynamic Eco and yesterday had a problem with the aircon causing the engine to fluctuate on tickover almost cutting out to the point I have to switch it of,anyone got any ideas please?

My 2010 Eleganza did this (in fact, it would actually cut out on tickover if the AC was on). A software update from Fiat fixed it (at least, that's what the dealer told me had sorted out the problem - it sounded like a bizarre fix to me!)

if you flick the rear demister, fog lights and main beam on. Does the RPM drop briefly and rise back to normal.

It may be an idle valve failure.
It is controlled by a stepper motor that can fail.
