Hi and welcome to Fiat Forum.
I on't know your area, but if the car is still under warranty or on a lease, read the conditions carefully. In theory you can use any recognised garage (VAT registered as a minimum) if they use genuine Fiat parts. In practice the hassle of making sure you have the evidence (you can't go back to get it after you have a problem) may not be worth driving 30 miles or the cost saving. A dealer will also have correct software updates available and may give you a loan car.

I have a 12 plate, so no warrenty issues. No service history came with the car. All was fine. But heating is a bit iffy when idel after starting. Unless I rev the engin for a little. Then the heating works. Works fine when driving. I have read about the possible "sticky flap" oi oi. But can't reall afford main dealer servicing at yhe present time. If anyone knows of a decent local to Torbay, South Devon, independant garage that has worked on Fiat 500's in the past then that would be good to know. Or if you can help with my heating issues or advice on how can resolve it then that would be great too.
