Ok everyone its that time, can anyone recomend the best diesil oil to use for the 105JTD?

i have got some wellman diesil glow plugs, these were only 24quid for 4 (where as halfords quoted 120quid for all 4!!) are these going to be any good?

also were changing the gearbox oil also and so where would i go about obtaining this or would it be just universal gearbox oil??

further more were also replacing my gear change linkage arms, any ideas on the best and cheapest place to get these?

Fuel filter and oil filter i assume are just a basic part for the JTD and will be easy to source.

can anyone else recomend what else to do?

its on ah harsh 105 tho and i believe the cam belt was done at 75-78 thou

all recomendations welcome.

Maybe do the leads as well as the plugs?
Also maybe change your air filter (if standard box)

why do the g-box oil? i ask as it will be brand new from when your clutch was done.

LOCAL motor factor. Sod Hellfrauds!

You can tell your local motor factor guy you need engine oil and filter for a fiat bravo JTD105 and he'l give you the right stuff. Same for the gearbox oil.
You can get the answers here too, but i cant help emphasizing how its always a good idea to get friendl with the local car spares guy (or woman)

hmm i didnt think the JTD had leads i thought leads were only on petrols?

but then again i know nothing about diesils and thats why only my mate (whos a mechanic) ever opens my bonnet well him and the RAC man with it being a fiat! lmao

@stephen01 well it was a cheap job done by a a few mates at motorsave, and he said they left the same oil in the gear box???? (or does this sound unlikely / impossible?)

If you are BOO you can get 10% off the cost of these items from the above site. They also deliver very quickly.
Take the glow plugs back. They only get used in very cold weather. My JTD hasn't had a change of plugs for at least 40k miles. Also don't worry about the GB oil unless you think its low for a reaason. :)

Selenia turbo diesel oil. Buy two 5 litre tins, one for the change and the other toppping up through the year.
Get your fuel filter and air and oil filter from there too. You will have to look at the current fuel filter on your car to see which it is. There are two types available. One with and one without a water dispersal function (tall or small).
Change the coolant. Buy three 1 litre bottles of Paraflu Blue top - add water (I bought 5 litre bottle from ASDA) 50:50 ratio - keep leftover for top up.
Finally, if you really want to go balls out buy some Forte diesel fuel treatment and run it through a full tank 1 week before the service. Also buy Forte engine cleaner and follow the instructions carefully. Available from ebay.
