nah, that wouldnt throw the injector light with the engine switched off as there is no pressure for it to monitor.

I dunno...I think it would.

The manifold isnt a perfect vacuum when the butterfly in the throttle is closed, so it should reach atmsopheric pressure soon after the engine stops.

But Id think that atmospheric pressure is out of the range of the MAP (its often above 1 BAR) -so it'd leave it in an error mode constantly.

it was the charcoal canister purge solenoid connector. injector light is off again now

The WHAT? This is a time to be glad your car is scraping the floor otherwise that engine would have had a very long way to fall Hope this is the end of problems for the time being!

she's in the garage now, afer needing jump starting this morning.. grrr

fingers crossed this is the end of the problems for now (despite the engine running lean, needing a second injector, a SS exhaust system and a remap!)
