serious injection advice

is it normal for a 'P' reg 1.4 standard to beat a 'T' reg 1.2 16v? my injection light has been on for about 2 month solid now and i have noticed the engine is obviously having a hard time dropping hints with odd high and low bursts

i think it is time i tret my baby to brand spankin new injectors but have any of u out there had it done recently and if so stab me with the price ill be lookin at?

Can't believe you've put your bravo through so much pain for so long. I have a 2001 HGT and about two weeks ago as i exited a roundabout the injector light came on. In turn this means that the injection system is not working perfectly causing possible loss of performance, poor driveability and high consumption levels. So basically the car shouldn't be driven but can as long as you don't drive the vehicle hard or at high speeds.

Anyway I hooked mine up to a data logging machine and found an error with the accelerator potentiometer. It came up with five faults within this sensor. Ended up with the simplest of just re-crimpping the connections by the throttle pedal.

Obviously in your case might be the same, but i'm not sure if yours has a sensor or throttle cable.

1.4 12v beating a 1.2 16v, not very likely...

I'd put it down to the nonce driving the 1.2...j/k

1.2 should easily outdo the 1.4...

So Ian where abouts are you from like? if you've been through the pain of your car under performing, i'd be happy for you to have a look but as for the re-crimping .. i think its more then that which kills me to say as theres been nothing wrong with it since ive had it which is about 1 year now...( dnt mean to tempt fait)

get ma loan through soon ... and cos ive had no time to mod im going for it big time!!!!!

You can change the injectors if you want but I doubt it will solve your problem.

Take it to fiat, sounds like you have a sensor or ECU problem.

Yup mate, still got it and still lovin' it to bits

Box is great, can't fault it yet, even after a good 15,000 miles.

Don't get the wrong idea - I paid for all my mods (and more importantly my car too )

I used to have a 1.4 12V myself, but got shut after the things I heard on this place, then starting to experience them for real - no thanks.
