SERIOUS HELP NEEDED! 2nd MOT fail!!

Hiya folks.
My 1.2sx bravo has just failed its MOT for the second time due to exesive CO emisions.

Have changed the air filter and ran cleaner through it and its not made a jot of difference.

Reading is a constant 0.5 when it should be 0.3

Really stuck as to what to do now and starting to loose hope.

Every one i speak to says it could be something different i.e. automatic choke, CAT or "your cars a pile of junk" :O(

Any light on the dash ?
Sounds like the lambda sensor or the cat is full...
When where the plugs changed ?

No warning lights.

Sparks and leads were changed 2 months ago as i got water in the engine so was advised to replace them then.

Have also changed the air filter last week.

On my MOT report the LAMBDA is showing as a Pass.

Its just the CO emissions.

hmm

go thorugh the running guide and clean your air flow meter also some fuel treatment and also put some test 99ron fuel in that will lower it a bit but weather it wil be enought is a differant question

try taking ur car for a 10 minute trashin,whilst obeying the speed limits obviously
cats only work when they get hot!and it takes a while for platinum(what make it work)to heat up.
then take it to the testing station and ask them to do the emissions test straight away.
a friendly attitude with the tester can also help.
they put another car on for my emissions test lol

also something that might help just leave them the car for the day let them do it at their leasure
