Don't think so, but I can't afford to buggar it (Fiat don't make them anymore) so want tips before I do it

It is said in this thread that new cables are around £26. But doesn't say exactly how it's removed from gearbox!

Is it not covered by the haynes/porter manuals? some of the haynes do cover the selectas.

I've done that in Selecta and it was easy, so maybe there is something wrong with it?
You need to dive into your engine bay then pull up spmething like cable cover just before gearbox and use tool (spanner?) size (16-18 I don't remember) There is grey (plastic) bolt (looks like bolt but it's like bolt outside cable) and unscrew it...
it's more complicated to put it back because there is smal square hole and cable must fit it properly....
If you don't understand my "manual" please email me and I'll try to explain somehow

Last Fiat price was £35 but they're now no longer available
But I gots me a spare from a certain donor Selecta I've done that in Selecta and it was easy, so maybe there is something wrong with it?

So I just need to undo the spanner bit (I know the bit you mean as I have had a bit of a gander
