Technical Seicento 899 gearbox knocking

Hello hello,

have another little problem with my seicento.

At low gear the car has started making a little knocking noise whilst driving.

It tends to go away at high revs but gets worse after the engine has heated up a bit.

Then when stopped with the clutch released the noise comes back.

Think it could be the gearbox on the way out? Changed the transmission oil and it was very glittery.

Any help please?

Could be. The wet shaft boxes are prone to massive wear (and terminal damage) if the inner CV joint boots split (which is not uncommon).

Clutch is another possibility.
