General Sei idle speed too high

My Sei sporting is idling at around 1250 rpm,which sounds too high to me.I've tried switching the red and black pipes that connect to the air box,but no joy.I've checked a couple of times for hose leaks and re-torqued the throttle body bolts.Could it be an electrical fault?

could be a faulty idle valve stepper motor, try swapping it with another cinq/sei or if you cant get hold of one take it to have it looked at.

Where abouts is the stepper motor,is it on the throttle body?

yes it attached to the throttle body,its held in by 2 torques screws, its a cylinder shape with a multipoint 4 pin connector on the end of it, its at the front offset to one side of the throttle body as you stand at front of car mate

Had the same problem on my Sei sporting -1250 - 1500 rpm idle ever since I bought it.

I saw a post on this Forum yesterday & solved it.

The were two pipes on the back of the throttle body and I just swapped them round.

Both the same size, one above the other - Manifold breather pipe & Vacuum pipe I think.

2 Minute job - just need the airbox off and swap the round.
