my bro is loking for 2 12's to replace his 10 and he has seen these.

iirc dawn has (or used to have) SPLX subs and for the money they couldnt be faulted

i got one splx one, cant say it sounds bad, its just the name. other names like jbl will sound better when u tell people, rather than saying i got 2 12" SPLX subs, if u get wha i mean

SPLX are brilliant value for money and are getting better in comparison with there old stuff. For that price you cant go wrong, but dont expect to be able to compare them with anything else as they cant compete. For instance the JBL1000's are about £35 each and are twice as good. Thats £25 more once youve paid for postage.

splx are a load of sh*te suppose if you havent got much money and are looking for something to fill a gap then go for it. but i`ve heard bad stuff from them,

are VRX the same thing? ive got one of those amp and sub 600w VRX kits and tbh I can't see me needing anything better, or I cant imagine anything louder lol, great kick off it and great tone, thats just 1 12" too, no doubt those really expensive ones would be better but I dont really know how when it comes to a sub

VRX are also bo**ocks to be honest you may not want to spend a lot of money but money buys reliability and quality im affraid.

As Jay said. You'll get more quality bass out of a pair of 6x9's than either of these. Spend an extra bit of cash on 1 JBL sub. And if dawn did have some of these, PM her she wont look back on them. I really dont mean to be rude, but your better off without until you can afford something a bit better.

bang on there dan. JBL are good priced audio equipment IMO but there are better products out there that i`d go for personally
