What a crok of sh*t
Dug's statement "I'd advise anyone with a standard car to do the same shortly: the prices are due a drastic nose-dive.", is a load of crap.
The re-sale value of Bravo / Brava are due, and have already taken a nose dive. This is due to several things, 1, the bravo/brava was never massively popular brand new anyway, compared to escorts, astra's and the like, unfortunatly, not every one appreciated them the same as we all do. 2, the bravo/a is now not just on older model of a current car, it's an obsolete model. 3, the re-sale prices of ALL used cars are dropping, due to the prices of brand new motors comin' down, you cant have a cheap new car and still get top whack for your p/x.
And besides all of this, the fact that some people choose to personalise or modify their car doesn't reduce the re-sale value of all cars of that make, otherwise netto would be selling escorts next to the cheap german beans.
I bought my car exactly a year ago, for £6200, glass's guide now books is at £3300, the reality is, if i p/x 'd it, i'd be lucky if i got £2800. I'm a new car salesman, and that trade in figure is with my sales manager givin as much as he could hope to get back for it!
The fact is, cars, un-like houses, don't appreciate in money, unless they are a true classic.
Appologies for the rant
