Well here we go.
As i bought my second sedicivalvole last week, i knew that it would turn over but not ignite, or something.....
Now for the last days i've been looking in the right direction, i think. just now i tested the coil using a strobe light to test if there was any field generated, strong enoungh to trigger te strobe. Well there is only one short pulse when the key is turned in the on position but not started, i guess this is normal...a small disgarge once power is applied to the coil. Eventhough when i try to start the car there is no sparking whatsoever, no flashing strobelight, even when it it on the lead wich runs to te distributer cap. So to my knowledge there is either no signal to the coil telling it to discharge or the coil is faulty. I'd like to test these components but neither haynes, eper or that other one discribes the procedure. I'm in need for help here guys....anyone got a clou how to measure and wich wire should have what voltage or resistance to be in the normal range, i'd like to revive this engine and make it run.
Secondary, near the fusebox under the dash(beware stearing on the left side) is one loose connector, it has 6 places is yellow and holds 4 wires, i have no place to put it in so i guess it's an option cable. the wires are coulored blue|blueblack|orange|orangewhite|. At first i thought that this might cause the non igniting but i have no place to put the connector in ???
Let me now.
Ciao !!!
