Technical Seat replacement with airbags

I have cause to remove replace my seats, I have MES but my understanding is that if I disconnect my battery, leave for a discharge/soak period (30 mins?) swop seats and reconnect all should be well with no requirement for resets etc, thank you

Comments especially regarding length of discharge period welcome

Providing you don't turn the ignition on,the air bag light won't come on when removing airbag connectors. Best to disconnect battery if you have radio code.Look into radio code first as some radios don't need the code putting in if battery is removed.
