Hi all

Just bought a Ulysse today as have 4 dogs and seemed practical at the time!!!, just gutted as had to p/x it for my Toyota Rav.

Anyway I am having murder trying to understand the manual re: moving seats, the 2nd row great but how the hell do you tilt them forward to get into the back seats?......we have spent nearly 2 hours pushing, pulling lifting and nothing....the only seat that seems to tilt is the middle one, sorry guys but any ideas please.

Thanks all Jane

what year? if a mk2 ie 2002 on then, when you tilt the backrest using the side lever keep going as in one operation and you'll find then entire seat tilts forward as you need it to do - if you stop it locks the back rest down and will not tilt - just reinstate backrest and do it again - middle seat as you've found flats the backrest using the 'handle' on the back of the seat then tilts by using the lever at the base... word of warning - take care of the seats as the mechas are not cheap as I have just found out - Mk1 seats are £25 Mk2 are £125+ if you can get the right colour/material and seat mechs are c.£100 new :):)

Hi

Thanks for your reply it is 54 Reg, I have lifted little lever which then tilts backrest forward but it doesnt lift off the base of the floor to either move to the 'wallet' position or tilt forward to let anyone in rear. Is it just the one little lever to tilt it.

Thanks for your help, driving me mad, went back out at 10 last night to have another go but nothing still.

Try (under the seats) to pull the black bar near the back upwards. I'll take a look at ours, which has one seat with this problem - the cable that should do this for you is probably broken. Do your third row seats function correctly? If so, best to swap them to the second row...

sorry your'e still having problems -as someone else has said it may just be the cable but I've not had 1 break but the black bar can fail in that the plastic clip that holds each end of the thin round bar snaps (£6 each!! when a 20p nut and bolt will do the same job) and it drops/droops you may need to remove the grey plastic trim to get at the mech and use a good sturdy screwdriver to lever/twist the spring loaded mech to release the claw from the rails -- badly worded and I can take photos if it helps
