Well this is a first for me. (500X 2015)

Drove about 5 miles to retail park. Parked up, 30+ minutes started car. Shortly after pulling off I got the "Bing-Bong". By the time I had finished pulling out of a junction there was nothing illuminated on the dash. Short while later .... Bing Bong driver's seat belt unbuckled warning light on. Then light out. Little later a double repeat. Unclipped belt buckle, put back in firmly and Bing-Bong. Buckle again all OK followed by a little later Bing Bong.

OK. Pulled over, turn engine and ignition off. Waited a short moment and drove off. Bing-Bong!

Got home parked up and left the car over night.

Last two days nothing!

I can only assume that the seat belt/air bag/body computer got it's electrons in a twist and needed to be powered off for a reasonable period of time to self discharge and start afresh on the next power up cycle.

Weird!

Italian moment are not unknown. As long as they dont happen too often its all part of the charm of Fiat ownership.

Stick some WD40 into the seatbelt buckle and work it in and out ... It probably won't make any difference but it'll make you feel better.. 🤓

Actually a two stage job

Glass of Vodka - 50 / 50 mix (50 for me 50 for buckle) :) followed by WD40 / Switch Clean & Lube for buckle only.

After the vodka has worn off, I'd be sticking my head under the seat to check any connections, and anything under there that might interfere with wiring. Don't do this whilst under the influence, you might never come out again.

I did this already. Nothing interfering with the wires. Could not feel a connector (like on the "B" which just dangles there wobbling about) but it was only a quick look and now the problem has gone away I not inclined to dig deeper. If it crops up again the it might be time for MES which has the relevant seat belts fastened parameters.
