Hi all, not been on here for ages eventually managed to get logged back in and here we are.
I /we have a problem with the wife's Scudo, basically it won't pull up a hill as easily as it used to ie change down put your foot down long pause Turbo kicks in and away you go.
The van is a 2006 2.0 8v JTD.
Have now got a bluetooth OBD reader brill tool and it came up with two fault codes:-
1 Throttle position sensor (TPS) only reading 80%
2 Mass Air Flow Meter (MAF).
Fault 1 checked out and foot flat down only 80%.
So fitted a new one, now 0-100%
Reset the MAF meter.
Now still similar but not as long ?.
So with assistance did a live check, so say 70 on the motorway in 5th TPS at say 40% and Turbo boost 10psi (old money) ease foot down to overtake boost still 10psi, boost then drops to about 4 and eventually kicks in right up to 12-14ish. If you change down the boost drops imeadiatly then kicks in.
Anybody had similar problems which you were able rectified if so I would be pleased to know.
The Scudo is a great van we've been all over the country with he wife helping her in her hobby of competing in working trials with the dogs.
Now ? coming out of Lock down she can get back trialing again if we can rectify the problem.
