General Scudo Door Mirror Assembly

I have a replacement drivers door mirror assembly. However after some head scratching and partial demolition of the door trim I cannot see how on earth the new assemby can be fitted. Can anyone supply a clue please. Yours totally baffled....

!995 Scudo Van is all the info I have. The Old Mirror and wires have been removed but how do you insert the new knob and wire into what appears to be a too small hole?

I might add removal was by cutting the three wires to facillitate the removal . We have not removed the plastic cover that is bonded to the door. Maybe the secret lies beneath?

had the same problem myself, in the end i gave up, cut the wires off the new mirror and once it was fitted and in place i used to small screws to hold the mirror where i needed it, worked a treat for me

Hmm it could come to that - seemed such a simple job at first, damn cunning these Italians.
