hi
sometimes I have a sudden stop of the turbo.
today it happened after 1 hour of driving.
after 2 min. stop at the side-road. it start to work properly.
at the past I wemt to my garage the day after it happened, but they didn't found anything.

I am not sure,if it matter, but the temp. of cooling water was a little above 90 cel. deg. (i drove a slope)

answer

I know the feeling of driving with or without -
in the middle of slope, it suddenly loose power. i always drive this road 70 kph and after rhe failiure i drive 30 kph.
also, when I stopped at the side way, before swiching off , i ask my friend to push the gas pedal, while checking if the air hose is loose or fulfilled with pressure -- but, it was loose.

Turbos can only 'stop' for one of a couple of reasons.

1. No exhaust driving the turbo - broken manifold
2. Physical obstruction - something stuck in the turbine blades
3. Siezed bearings - lack of oil feed to turbo
4. Stuck by-pass valve - valve stuck open

Re: scudo 2004 -turbo stop without warning light

hi kelly
thanks for you help.I really appriciate.
today it happened again, at the same region.
i replaced my turbo before 4 month - so i think "Stuck by-pass valve - valve stuck open" is the problem.
do you think there is connection to the slope or to the cooling temperature?
when it occur the temp. was above 90 celcius deg.
should i replace this or just dismantle & clean?

another issue - i have scudo 2004 2.0 JTD combi - but the 16 chapter handbook at the download is for older versions. where can i download the appropriate handbook?
