Hey Guys
First post here and guess what - I'm already asking for help!
I found a banged up little 2001 Seicento Sporting ready to be crushed into cans when dropping off some scrap at my local scrap merchants, he's a good friend and rather than see the car crushed I figured I'd try and fix it up and then give it to one of my friends who is learning to drive.
I took a big dent out of one of the panels and all seemed fine, ready for an MOT but then left the car for a month and a half because I was away with work.
In the meantime while it was sat on my parents driveway it decided to go a bit haywire, alarm sounded for a couple of days, then the battery died.
My Dad decided to jump start her to move the car and since then whenever a charged battery is attached the alarm sounds and the indicators all stay on solidly :S
The car still starts fine but it's as if the indicators are now just permanently illuminated.
She's only going to be cheap transport but I hate to scrap a tidy little car so I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to fix the issue?
I tried pulling fuses but nothing seems to put the alarm box/indicators off.
I'm aware the meta alarms were an option so could anyone give me some pics of where the control box is and how to remove it - I'm thinking my Dad fried the alarm jumping the car and now its wreaking havoc?
The girl who the car was intended for won't mind running without an alarm and if ripping it out sorts the issue then happy days
I'd rather keep the little monster on the road if I can.
Otherwise if anyone needs any parts then it may have to go that was :S
