Technical Sat Nav lies

Anyone find the SatNav on their Abarth tells porkies? Mine will announce an upcoming junction or roundabout but give the distance totally wrong. e.g. it will say "in half a mile, turn left" when in fact the turning is only 100 yards away.

The display on the SatNav LCD will show the correct distance so I'm a bit confused.

Also, is it possible to enter postcodes in the Destination, rather than the street name?

This is a bug in the software and I'm on version 9.7 and it's still there.
This is the only voice announcement that is wrong though.
