A few weeks ago my car started running lumpy and sounded like a harley. It also had no power (max speed 60ish) I thought it was a split in manifold so took car to local grease monkey who said he fixed it by mounting exhaust back on correctly. Car ran fine for 2 weeks and then same problem happens so i took it to power flow dealer who fitted exhaust origanally less than a year ago. He said there is nothing wrong with my exhaust and never has been (so dont no what the other guy had done) and the power flow guy recons the car is missing. I get home (eventually) and take out my plugs, num 3 plug is black n oily all the rest are fine. I swapped all the plugs with new 1's but am still getting the same prob. I have also checked the spark and it seems fine. Can any 1 help me out pls :)

Thanks Tom!
Same advice as the guy from power flow.
Im gonna change the ht lead, coil pack and just take it from there.

When you say coil pack is that another name for the distributor cap?

No distributor on modern cars, they have a coil pack with 2 coils, one for each pair of cyls.

Change ALL the leads. :)

Question, when you rev it does it pop and bang? And when you are on the motorway does it smooth out at really low throttle opennings?

When i put the foot down it burbles (doesnt bang but sounds like a tractor) and has no power but once at speed i can cruise smoothly.
