Will it do any damage running on 2 cylinders for bout 5 mile?

Gotta go get a new coil from the local EuroCarParts...

Yeah pretty sure, swapped the coils over and it went from running on 1 and 4 to running on 2 and 3 so...

Yeah it took the **** when it went from running on 3 to running on 2 for about 5 miles earlier... but ill just have to struggle for a bit.

As long as there are no long term affects ill be ok... <fingers crossed>

Defo the coil, its set on my windowsill now awaiting the dustbin.

Unburnt fuel washing the oil from the walls of the cylinder bores causing increased wear, and dilution of the lubricating oil when it reaches the sump.

Both of these are not good things.

Temps never been anywhere near 90 degrease like...

Won't overheat with a cylinder or two out. I'd say 5 miles is OK -- I've been forced to run an MPI Sei for a few more miles than that with the same problem. I did flush it and put new oil in, but no longterm effects at all.

Cars sorted, much quicker than before the coil broke...

But i guess the new HT leads aids that

Oil and filter change as soon as you can. It's said that cheapskate Australian racers use the barbie to heat up oil to remove water and excess fuel, but..........

Indeed, a good idea. i think since i'v got new coil and leads might aswell get some plugs aswell...

But christmas is on its way
