Technical Running issue

Hi, I have just bought a 16v turbo fiat coupe and the fuel pump was seized I have since replaced the fuel pump and the vehicle now starts but then will not run consistently it will stay on high revs as soon as it begins dropping down the engine stops any ideas as I'm at a loss on this one. Could it be I have got the wrong fuel pump?

All fixed nevermind no clue what fixed it but ate dinner came back out the new pump back in and it worked lol

Air leak, vacuum pipe to servo?
If you have never heard it running properly could it be a injection /throttle body sticking issue.
What injection system does your vehicle use, some early Bosch ones forum members have had issues with them.

Thank you but I managed to get it running I think it had to do with the gasket on the fuel pump module because before it didn't fit so I just left it out but I cut it down to size and put it back on after dinner which made it run could just be a fluke but it's running so either way I'm happy
