theya ll perish, go to a scrap yard, and look for MAREA handles. they are plastic and dont perish.

Type in 'breaking fiat marea' into ebay and call all the scap yards/people breaking a marea until you find someone thats got the handles for a price your willing to pay. i got a set of 4 (incase i wanted to delock my car) for £15 delivered.
Then spent £10 on paint to colour code them to my car and fitted them. there is a guide on how do change your locks over etc in the 'modding' section of this site.
