I'm waiting for a Rpm counter from a Seicento sporting to come by post.:)
I have a 2002 Seicento 1.1 Sx 1108cc Mpi, how easy is it to fit a rev counter from the sporting version? is it a 5min job? or will it take longer? many people are saying it just case of pluging in and thats it!

Who are these many people?

The dash is different: you need to cut a hole in it.

The connector is strange, and I don't think the S and SX MPI harnesses have a connector in them for the rev counter. If the connector isn't there, you'll either have to find a Sporting in a scrappy and snag the connector or do some very crafty soldering.

You need a wiring diagram.

You'd think it would be easy peasy despite all that, but I know of no-one who has done it.

Surly it's just a case of wiring up the power to the electrics and then the signal wire to the ECU if you know what pin it is.(y)

ive done it. just very carefully cut a hole in the dash and the block connector should be there, plug and play very easy my car is a 52plate mpi(y)

No. ;)

Because the Sei one is triggered off the ECU, not the coil: thus it gets a completely different kind of input. There' some stuff on here by Kripit which describes the issue (a bit technical).

Exactly what I'm saying. You can connect it to the tirgger pin on the ECU surly? That's what I had to do in the Panda because of the twin coil packs.(y)
