Hi I am looking for some advice.
For some time I have had rough running when I first start out on my scudo, stalling very easily, much worse in the winter. It will also smoke when accelerating hard when cold. Once warm it is not an issue.
Also when revving at a stand still it will not rev over 2500 rpm, but as soon as you are driving there is no problem. Is this just some auto protection?
Fault codes:
The engine management light has been on a reports codes 1351 and 3008. All I can find out about 3008 is from a random vw website for a car that also uses a bosch ECU stating it was to do with the MAF.
I have a basic code reader and also I have tried KL ECU cable and multiecuscan but could not get it talking so can not see any fuel trim info. (If you have a recommendation for a cable let me know, the one I bought advertised genuine FTDI chip but still no luck!)
MAF Testing:
I have tried testing the MAF obtaining the below results which graph to a pretty straight line so it makes me think the MAF may actually be ok, but I have no data on the sensor to know what frequencies I should be getting.
RPM----Frequency (Hz)
900-----1851
1500---1612
2000---1470
2500---1388
Other information:
About a year ago the EGR valve was replaced and at at around the same time the crank sensor was also replaced.
To be honest if it was no for the ECU light I would not be bothered it drives fine once warm and just take a little more revs to not stall when first pulling off.
Thanks for any ideas and pointers!
