Hi

Couple of days ago it rained crazy in Pune, and as I drove back from office in the rain all things were fine. I had to park the car outside in the rain - which did not relent the whole night.

Next morning when I got back into the car, the drivers seat was wet and I quickly discovered that the roof lining was soaked and was dripping at the corner of the driver side A pillar.

The roof lining was soaked around the edges for about about an inch and went all the way from the rear view mirror - across the windsheild to the driver side and back to the B pillar over my shoulder.

The only things on the outside of the car on the roof are the radio antenna and the two rubber strips towards each side of the car which run almost the length of the roof.

So how and where do I locate and plug the leak.

thanks
mqs

I'd give the roof a visual inspection first. Make sure there aren't any obvious holes anywhere in the roof.

Have you got a sunroof at all? These can be a real pain and will cause leaks when they rust.

No sun roof, and no obvious holes :(
The only "hole" is the one where the radio antenna has been screwed in, but I checked it and that seems to be screwed tight.

I could spray the car with water and check for the leaks from inside, but I'm not sure how to get the roof lining out and whether it would fit back as snuggly as it is now :)

As jai said Lining is easy to remove. you have to remove the sunblinds, handles,Roof lights and the lining comes out.May be after that you can pour some water and check from where the leakage is.
