It's rant time again folks!
Anyone who knows Aberdeen will know of the usual hasstle to get north of the city - worsened just now with King Street being down to one lane in either direction. I've just come back from a funeral and we've had to go back out to the sticks, take every damned backroad possible to get home because some bright spark at the council's planning dept decided they should shut a main road and an arterial backroad heading in the same direction, at the same time. Forcing twice as much traffic through a third of the roadspace (or something daft like that)
It's not even trades fortnight ffs! For anyone heading north, I've found a bit of a 'shortcut' depending on where your going. head up the top of Garthdee, out the cults road and head towards the SKENE road (just part the four mile) that'll take you right onto the tyrebagger - if going to Ellon you can then get over the Oldmeldrum road etc! A bit of a pain in the arse, but better than sitting in traffic?! Just a thought, from tyrebagger it's maybe quicker to fire round to dyce and out the balmedie back road?!
