General Rims ...

Hello everyone , i have one question: is it possible to fit 205/45/17 Rims in fiat brava ... or its too big for the car. If it is ok i think to change and the suspension, thanks in advance

205/45 R17 is too big. What you need is 205/40 R17

205/45 r17 do fit. That what mine are though its boneshaking! Donno if the suspension is how it should be though? Im gonna drop an inch and get bigger tyres i think.

205/45 R17 are fine in a HGT but nothing else due to their gearing and final drive. The Brava never had a HGT so no bigger than 205/40 R17 or use 215/35 R17 to keep the gearing the same. With 205/45s the speedo will be out and the performance seriously blunted, not to mention the extra strain on the gearbox

205/45 R17 is what i have at the mo but the two front ones have dents in them so im looking for new ones.

I was hoping that if i go to a 16" with bigger tyres it would improve the ride a bit but still look good because the ride is a bit on the rattley side for me!

If you use 195/45 R16s, the gearing will be fine, kept stock

Daviedaly can you post some pictures to see how fit 205/45/17 rims in your car ... mm my brava is with 1.4 engine, but i actually dont like fast speed and think it would be not a big problem for me. The rims are with 57.1 central hole and 4x100. At the end of the week i will take it to the turner to expand the central hole to 58.1 and to make some expand bolts ... i really want them, but is they couldn fit .. i dont know, one friend offers me to change it to "OZ RAcing" but 15'' ... i really dont know what to do , when i try it to fit them next week i will post here what i did. I will post pics tonight when i get in from work. Make sure the tyres will fit under the arches as i went to see a set of 17" tsw venoms and was going to take them but the tyres were way too big!

Hmm - been 6 years since I drove it

I got the suspension done at the same time though - I remember it was really stiff, but I really liked it - great fun driving down cobbled streets

I had no complaints about it though - although my parents hated it ...

Mmm thanks ... if you are with 205/40.... i see no problem to fit and 45 tires there, there is a little space yet
