Hi i got a Fiat 600e in January, can I ask if anyone has had any problems when putting it into reverse it's failed and gone forward instead. This has happened afew times now but thought it was me, but the other day I went straight into the front of a car as I was parking up!

A few times I have pressed it and it has turned on properly and only noticed when like you I go forward instead of back but I can’t be sure that it wasn’t me and not the car I can’t be 100% sure whether I pressed it hard enough as the small few times I happened I kinda pressed it and began moving in more of a rush than normal so since then it’s kinda instilled in me to double check and I now reverse much much slower to start with like an inch to begin with so I know I’m going backwards. It’s possible it was the car but equally possible in my case the maybe 5-10 times in the beginning it could have been my fault
I will note thou that this happened in the first 3-5 months of hanging the car so it could have been another ‘settling in niggle’ I had along with a niggly electronic tailgate and others which all sorted themselves out in the first few months. Sorry I can’t be any more specific but did want to note my experience in case it is something known

Awww thankyou so much, I'll try what you did and make sure 100% it's not my mistake x

I have one of those niggly tailgates, too! By that, in my case, I mean that it fails to respond to any of the buttons that are meant to close it, but just beeps.

Awe not good thankfully the main issues were in the first couple of months the car has settled into itself now but I don’t bother with the foot sensors they are rubbish on 99% of cars anyway I always use the fob and internal buttons above the mirror but it does have hyper sensitive sensors that if a fly goes past one it refuses to close lol

Ha! The passing fly may be what's in the ointment in my case!!! I agree almost completely - never had any luck with those foot sensors, but honestly, if you stand 50cms behind the first '0' in '600' on your bumper and kick straight ahead and back again, with the key about your person, it works brilliantly! Can't believe I am saying that.

The other 'niggle' I am getting is that the screen says 'waiting for connection' and doesn't produce a screenful of my favourite radio stations. It works 4 times out of 5 but on the one failure, it's a long fiddle with car and phone until it comes right and I'm not brainy enough to work out what's making it go right! I think all cars are like this these days - software problems rather than mechanical ones, perhaps.
