Technical Reverse switch position help please

I have a 2005 Fiat Ulysse and need to check and/or replace the reverse light switch as my lights have stopped working.
I know very little about car components and as its a Ulysse I can barely reach, see or get to anything from the bonnet.
I know roughly what the switch looks like but cant see it from the top.
Can anyone please explain to me exactly where it is?
A clear picture would probably be a massive help too.

yep that'll be it see tech drawing below:


1. being the reversing light switch!

photo viewed from N/S front of car looking into engine bay(you will likely have Air filter box obstructing your view of it!)
and diagram as viewed from looking over the N/S/F wheel.

Of course you will have to remove the air filter hosing to get to it!
