Technical Reverse lights not working!

Yet another problem with the tipo, the reverse lights dont seem to be coming on when reverse is selected. I have checked the bulbs, and the boards, but I have heard about the reverse sensor mounted on the front of the gearbox. I have uplugged it, but it seems to be clean - therefor a good making contact. Is there anything anyone could suggest as to why I am experiencing this problem?

Bridge the connections on the loom for the reverse switch and see if your lights come on. If they light your switch has died, if they don't it's probably a wiring fault.
It's also worth testing the switch - check from continuity then select reverse and check again.

You say it seems to be clean. I assume you mean the electrical connector. Even if this is clean it does not mean that the 'push' switch itself is not broken. I would unscrew and replace the reverse switch unit on the gearbox front.

yep, switch in the gearbox does fail, my Uno Turbo one did anyway. I found that spraying carb. cleaner into it brought it back to life (perhaps gummed with gear oil?), but your luck may vary!
