Hi Guys 1st post on the forums so go easy on me.

I have recently bought a 2012 Fiat Fiorino 1.3 multijet which came with a reverse hazard warning alarm ( not to be confused with parking sensors, this thing sounds similar to a bin lorry or telescopic fork lift on my building site reversing )

I would be grateful if any of you guys could help me to either turn it off or at least down in volume as I live in residential area and leave quite early in the morning for work and don't want to disturb some of my neighbours ( especially the elderly ).

These reverse alarms must be quite common in the fiat van range as I have heard at least 2 Doblos with the exact same alarm within the past few weeks.

Many thanks in advance :)

Sorry if this looks like me stating the b***** obvious but can't you locate the 'speaker' and disconnect it?
Also check the menu to see if it's an option in there for deletion. I owned a new Fiorino and specced everything on it from new - reversing beeper/talking wasn't on the options list so it has to be after-market surely..

Sorry I can't be any more specific.

Thanks Red Van Man for your reply, yeah it doesn't seem like a standard option to have a loud speaker reverse alarm fitted the more I think about it :p

It sounds like the speaker is fitted outside the vehicle in below somewhere or perhaps in the rear bumper , I will see if I can locate it and maybe muffle or failing that disconnect it altogether.

I had found after a bit of search that you can get a bulb that also acts as a warning beeper ( when reversing obviously ), but I doubt the volume would be as loud as what I'm experiencing.

I will get back soon, thanks again mate.
