I've jsut been surfing round, and although my panda buying days are in the near future, there is one question i have: Can Fiat Pandas be fitted with a Rev-Counter? If so, how easy is it to do, as a DIY job? Thanks for any imput:D

Depends on the age of the Panda:
older, with points are OK.

Search google, you'll find things like

http://martingriffith.users.btopenworld.com/TACHO.HTM
http://www.3riversjunction.com/Auto/Tach/tachometer.htm
or even
http://www.maplin.co.uk/
and search for K2625 on the site.

if you're a dab hand with a soldering iron...

later fuel injected Pandas could be more problematic, if it has two coils... even then I suppose you could fit a tacho which is designed for 2 cylinder 4-stroke with connection to one of the coils.
Which is something I should of thought of months ago when the query was raised elsewhere :-(

Thanks for the help - i was hoping that i could just connect up a rev-counter from a fiat Uno or something, if this is possible could u let me know, otherwise thanks for the input!

I don't know the Uno well enough to give a definite answer, but if you can find an old one with both points and a tacho I'd not expect a problem. Apart from somewhere to fix it :D

If anyone's good with a soldering iron i got a circuit diagram for a tacho it works from a wire wrapped around the coil (it shows a oil cooled type).
It uses a NE555N timer, BC107's and a coil type meter 0-1mA.
The timer gives out a current of between 0-1mA, if the meter has a 1-7 scale, 1mA will equal 7000 rpm. PM me for more technical info/circuit diagram.

SIX OF ONE!
