im thinking of making a retractable parcel shelf for my stilo. i had a look at the one from the multiwagon but it looks like it has different mounts/clips.

the reason for this is that my original shelf is broken, and i want something that i could easily remove to allow bass from the subs to flow into the cabin, then put/retract it back when i park to keep my audio equipment from prying eyes.

any ideas peeps?

You dont want the air to open up from the cabin, the parcel shelf helps to contain the air movement and deaden the vibrations and give a better deeper sound.

You might want to consider a pair of these when youv'e finnished the project

Don't get a MW load cover. They are very heavy, awkward things that really get in the way. Mine now lives in the garage. There is 3 separate blinds inside it and associated mechanisms. It does not sit up against the back seat, but further away. There is one main blind, plus 2 smaller ones that extend back to the rear seats, in the 60/ 40 split. These are useless as they attach to stupid flimsy clips on the back of the seats that break off and also scratch whatever you put in the boot. I have never seen quite such a complicated and useless design for a luggage cover.
